Meet the Programmer Behind the Software

My name is Chloe Harty. I am a third-year Software Engineering student at the University of Victoria (UVic) with a strong passion for designing technology that feels intuitive, thoughtful, and genuinely human.

I grew up in Sherwood, Oregon, with family roots in Southern Alberta. I chose to pursue engineering because I have a long-standing passion for design, creativity, and the pursuit of innovation. The exceptional caliber of education, the software engineering specific program, and the required 16 months of work experience, solidified my decision to attend UVic. I’m especially motivated by creating digital experiences that are clear, accessible, and empowering, and by asking not just what we can build, but how it will support the person using it.
